Christmas in the USA

1. What is the differences between Christmas in the USA and Christmas in Spain?

There are a lot of differences between the Christmas in USA and in Spain, like culture or decoration...

• About decoration:

In USA the houses are really beautiful both inside and outside. There they do everything done in a big way, they even make competitions for the best Christmas decoration!

But nevertheless, in Spain, we limit ourselves more, outside, we usually place a Santa Claus on the wall or garlands in the windows. Inside, normally, we put Christmas lights, "el portal de Belén" and a Christmas tree.

• About "Reyes Magos" Day

Here, in Spain, this day it´s really important for childrens, because, they are very excited and love to go "Cabalgatas". In USA don´t celebrate this ,so, them childrens don´t enjoy this celebration.

• About the presents

In these two places people receive gifts though in different way. In USA unchanged gifts the Christmas day and in Spain celebrated "el amigo invisible", the "Reyes Magos Day" and Santa Claus comes.

2.Do you prefer Christmas or Three Magos Day?

In my opinion Three Magos Day it´s better than Christmas because I've always love going to the "Cabalgata" of my town and staying with family and friends taking sweets, that the kings give us gifts...

3.What is your favourite Christmas song?

My favourite Christmas song it´s "Los peces en el río", because this song brings me good memories.
